By oath of those which carry away while dispersing.

قسم ان کی جو بکھیر کر اڑانے والیاں

Then by oath of those which carry the burdens.

پھر بوجھ اٹھانے والیاں

Then by oath of those which move with ease.

پھر نرم چلنے والیاں

Then by oath of those which distribute by the command.

پھر حکم سے بانٹنے والیاں

Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true.

بیشک جس بات کا تمہیں وعدہ دیا جاتا ہے ضروری سچ ہے،

And undoubtedly justice will surely be done.

اور بیشک انصاف ضرور ہونا

And by oath of the decorated heaven.

آرائش والے آسمان کی قسم

You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an.

تم مختلف بات میں ہو

Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it.

اس قرآن سے وہی اوندھا کیا جاتا ہے جس کی قسمت ہی میں اوندھایا جانا ہو

Slain be those who mould from their imaginations.

مارے جایں دل سے تراشنے والے

Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication.

جو نشے میں بھولے ہوئے ہیں

They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?”

پوچھتے ہیں انصاف کا دن کب ہوگا

It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire.

اس دن ہوگا جس دن وہ آگ پر تپائے جائیں گے

And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.”

اور فرمایا جائے گا چکھو اپنا تپنا، یہ ہے وہ جس کی تمہیں جلدی تھی

Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs.

بیشک پرہیزگار باغوں اور چشموں میں ہیں

Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this.

اپنے رب کی عطائیں لیتے ہوئے، بیشک وہ اس سے پہلے نیکو کار تھے،

They used to sleep only a little during the night.

وہ رات میں کم سویا کرتے

And used to seek forgiveness before dawn.

اور پچھلی رات استغفار کرتے

And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth.

اور ان کے مالوں میں حق تھا منگتا اور بے نصیب کا

And in the earth are signs for those who are certain.

اور زمین میں نشانیاں ہیں یقین والوں کو

And in your own selves; so can you not perceive?

اور خود تم میں تو کیا تمہیں سوجھتا نہیں،

And in the heaven lies your sustenance, and the promise you are given.

اور آسمان میں تمہارا رزق ہے اور جو تمہیں وعدہ دیا جاتا ہے

So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak.

تو آسمان اور زمین کے رب کی قسم بیشک یہ قرآن حق ہے ویسی ہی زبان میں جو تم بولتے ہو،

Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)?

اے محبوب! کیا تمہارے پاس ابراہیم کے معزز مہمانوں کی خبر آئی

When they came to him and said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace”; and thought, “These people are not familiar.”

جب وہ اس کے پاس آکر بولے سلام کہا، سلام ناشناسا لوگ ہیں

Then he went to his home – so he brought a healthy calf.

پھر اپنے گھر گیا تو ایک فربہ بچھڑا لے آیا

He then presented it before them and said, “Do you not eat?”

پھر اسے ان کے پاس رکھا کہا کیا تم کھاتے نہیں،

He therefore inwardly sensed fear of them; they said, “Do not fear!”; and they gave him the glad tidings of a knowledgeable son.

تو اپنے جی میں ان سے ڈرنے لگا وہ بولے ڈریے نہیں اور اسے ایک علم والے لڑکے کی بشارت دی،

So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?”

اس پر اس کی بی بی چلاتی آئی پھر اپنا ماتھا ٹھونکا اور بولی کیا بڑھیا بانجھ

They said, “This is how your Lord has decreed; indeed He only is the Wise, the All Knowing.”

انہوں نے کہا تمہارے رب نے یونہی فرمادیا، اور وہی حکیم دانا ہے،

Said Ibrahim, “What is your task, O the sent angels?”

ابراہیم نے فرمایا تو اے فرشتو! تم کس کام سے آئے

They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.”

بولے ہم ایک مجرم قوم کی طرف بھیجے گئے ہیں

“To throw upon them stones of baked clay.”

کہ ان پر گارے کے بنائے ہوئے پتھر چھوڑیں،

“That are kept marked, with your Lord, for the transgressors.”

جو تمہارے رب کے پاس حد سے بڑھنے والوں کے لیے نشان کیے رکھے ہیں

So We removed the people who had faith, from that town.

تو ہم نے اس شہر میں جو ایمان والے تھے نکال لیے،

We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim.

تو ہم نے وہاں ایک ہی گھر مسلمان پایا

And We kept a sign remaining in it, for those who fear the painful punishment.

اور ہم نے اس میں نشانی باقی رکھی ان کے لیے جو دردناک عذاب سے ڈرتے ہیں

And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun.

اور موسیٰ میں جب ہم نے اسے روشن سند لے کر فرعون کے پاس بھیجا

In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.”

تو اپنے لشکر سمیت پھر گیا اورت بولا جادوگر ہے یا دیوانہ،

We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself.

تو ہم نے اسے اور اس کے لشکر کو پکڑ کر دریا میں ڈال دیا اس حال میں کہ وہ اپنے آپ کو ملامت کررہا تھا

And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them.

اور عاد میں جب ہم نے ان پر خشک آندھی بھیجی

It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments.

جس چیز پر گزرتی اسے گلی ہوئی چیز کی طرح چھوڑتی

And in the tribe of Thamud when it was told to them, “Enjoy for a while.”

اور ثمود میں جب ان سے فرمایا گیا ایک وقت تک برت لو

In response they rebelled against their Lord’s command, so the thunderbolt seized them whilst they were watching.

تو انہوں نے اپنے رب کے حکم سے سرکشی کی تو ان کی آنکھوں کے سامنے انہیں کڑک نے آلیا

So they were neither able to stand up, nor were they able to take revenge.

تو وہ نہ کھڑے ہوسکے اور نہ وہ بدلہ لے سکتے تھے،

And before them, We destroyed the people of Nooh; they were indeed a sinning nation.

اور ان سے پہلے قوم نوح کو ہلاک فرمایا، بیشک وہ فاسق لوگ تھے،

And We have built the heaven with hands (the Divine Power), and it is We Who give the expanse.

اور آسمان کو ہم نے ہاتھوں سے بنایا اور بیشک ہم وسعت دینے والے ہیں

And We made the earth a base, so how well do We lay out!

اور زمین کو ہم نے فرش کیا تو ہم کیا ہی اچھے بچھالے والے،

And We created all things in pairs, so that you may ponder.

اور ہم نے ہر چیز کے دو جوڑ بنائے کہ تم دھیان کرو

“Therefore rush towards Allah; indeed I am from Him, a clear Herald of Warning towards you.”

تو اللہ کی طرف بھاگو بیشک میں اس کی طرف سے تمہارے لیے صریح ڈر سنانے والا ہوں،

“And do not appoint other deities along with Allah; indeed I am from Him, a clear Herald of Warning towards you.”

اور اللہ کے ساتھ اور معبود نہ ٹھہراؤ، بیشک میں اس کی طرف سے تمہارے لیے صریح ڈر سنانے والا ہوں،

Similarly, whenever a Noble Messenger came to those before them they always said, “He is a magician or a madman.”

یونہی جب ان سے اگلوں کے پاس کوئی رسول تشریف لایا تو یہی بولے کہ جادوگر ہے یا دیوانہ،

What! Have they willed this utterance to one another? In fact they are a rebellious people.

کیا آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو یہ بات کہہ مرے ہیں بلکہ وہ سرکش لوگ ہیں

Therefore turn away from them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), – so there is no blame upon you.

تو اے محبوب! تم ان سے منہ پھیر لو تو تم پر کچھ الزام نہیں

And advise, for advice benefits the Muslims.

اور سمجھاؤ کہ سمجھانا مسلمانوں کو فائدہ دیتا ہے،

And I created the jinns and men, only for them to worship Me.

اور میں نے جن اور آدمی اتنے ہی لیے بنائے کہ میری بندگی کریں

I do not ask any sustenance from them, nor wish that they give Me food.

میں ان سے کچھ رزق نہیں مانگتا اور نہ یہ چاہتا ہوں کہ وہ مجھے کھانا دیں

Indeed it is Allah, Who is the Greatest Sustainer, the Strong, the Able.

بیشک اللہ ہی بڑا رزق دینے والا قوت والا قدرت والا ہے

And indeed for these unjust is also a turn of punishment, like that of their companions – so they must not ask Me to hasten.

تو بیشک ان ظالموں کے لیے عذاب کی ایک باری ہے جیسے ان کے ساتھ والوں کے لیے ایک باری تھی تو مجھ سے جلدی نہ کریں

So ruin is for disbelievers, from their day – which they are promised.

تو کافروں کی خرابی ہے ان کے اس دن سے جس کا وعدہ دیے جاتے ہیں
